Introduced fairly recently, digital nomad visas have made it even easier for digital nomads to work remotely and live abroad. At first, only a handful of countries offered this visa, but since the middle of 2020, more and more are hopping on board.

What is a Digital Nomad Visa?

So, what is a digital nomad visa? This type of visa allows remote workers to come and temporarily live in a foreign country for six months to a year. They often come with the ability to renew it once or twice.

Those who qualify for a digital nomad visa must work remotely as a freelancer, entrepreneur, or employee for a company located outside of the country in which they wish to reside.

The visa does not give the holder the right to find local employment. However, depending on some schemes, the holder may be required to pay local taxes.

Digital nomad visas are excellent for those who want to settle down in a foreign country for a little while and truly get to know a destination.

How to Apply for a Digital Nomad Visa

Applying for visas, especially a digital nomad visa, can be confusing. Every country has a slightly different process with individual requirements. So, it’s important to do as much research as possible.

There is an easier way to apply for a digital nomad visa, though!

Nomads Embassy has partnered with some of the top immigration and visa lawyers worldwide to assist remote workers in applying for a digital nomad visa through a seamless, streamlined process.

Forget about the bureaucratic horrors of applying for a digital nomad visa on your own and experience the visa process in the fast lane with professional help.
