The country formerly known as Turkey has opened its doors to remote workers with the Türkiye digital nomad visa, offering an extended stay in its breathtaking landscapes. With a reasonable income requirement, this visa has piqued the interest of many digital nomads. 

However, there is a catch. Only a handful of accepted countries are allowed to apply.

What is the Türkiye Digital Nomad Visa?

Officially launched in April 2024, the Türkiye digital nomad visa allows remote workers to stay in the country for an extended period of time. The visa term limit is still unknown. 

The country is eager to increase tourism in specific areas such as Antalya, Bodrum, and Marmaris with the Turkey digital nomad visa. 

To obtain the visa, applicants must first apply for a Digital Nomad Identification Certification via the official online platform. After receiving their unique identification code, they may visit a Turkish embassy or consulate to apply for a short-term residence visa.

Türkiye Digital Nomad Visa Requirements

To be eligible for the Türkiye digital nomad visa, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Valid Passport from Accepted Türkiye Digital Nomad Visa Country List – Your passport must be valid for at least six months at the time you enter Türkiye
  • Work Remotely – You must work remotely for a company or clients established outside of Türkiye
  • Earn $3,000 per month – You must meet the minimum income requirement
  • Aged Between 21 and 55 – You must meet the age requirements
  • Hold a University Degree or Diploma – You must have graduated from a university

If you meet the above requirements, then you may apply for the Türkiye digital nomad visa.
