thailand multiple entry visa for digital nomads

A new Thailand multiple entry visa for digital nomads has been officially introduced specifically for remote workers and freelancers.ย This new non-immigrant visa is known as the Destination Thailand Visa or DTV.

While this is not an official digital nomad visa, Thailand is allowing extended stays for digital nomads within a five year period with a new multiple entry visa.

This comes as great news for those who do not meet the requirements for the Thailand Long Term Residence Visa, which was originally targeted at remote workers, pensioners, and global wealthy citizens.

The Thai government announced this new five-year multiple entry visa, which allows digital nomads to stay 180 days in Thailand per entry. Previously, the limit was just a two 30-day stay per entry

Those with the Thailand multiple entry visa for digital nomads may extend their 180-day stay for an additional 180 days once during the five-year visa term.

Nomads Embassy will update this article as more information is released.

The Thailand multiple entry visa for digital nomads is for remote workers and freelancers who wish to stay in Thailand for an extended period of time during a five-year period.

The visa, while valid for five years, allows stays of up to 180 days per entry into Thailand.

During one of these stays, those who hold the Thailand multiple entry visa for digital nomads may extend their stay by 180 days just once during the five-year visa term.

The visa does not allow digital nomads to apply for a residence permit in Thailand.
