Spain Digital Nomad Visa Updates in 2025
We can expect changes to Spain’s digital nomad visa eligibility requirements every year. So, what changes about Spain’s digital nomad visa in 2025?
Increased Income Requirement
Spain’s digital nomad visa’s income requirement is directly tied to the national minimum wage because it is required that applicants earn at least 2x the minimum wage. This means, that when the government decides to increase the minimum wage, the income requirement for the digital nomad visa will also increase.
As of 2025, the Spanish government agreed to increase the minimum wage by 4.4%. So, how does this exactly affect the income requirement?
The Spain digital nomad visa income requirement is as follows:
- 2,762€ per month for individual applicants
- 3,797€ per month for couple applicants
- 1,035€ per month for each additional adult dependent
- 346€ per month for each additional minor dependent
So, for a family of three, the main applicant must earn at least 4,143€ per month.
Now, it’s important to note that these amounts are gross, which means before taxes are taken out or paid.
While this is a slight increase from the original 2,646€ per month for individual applicants, it could still affect your eligibility if your income was just on the edge of meeting the requirement.
When applying for Spain’s digital nomad visa, you must submit documents to prove that you earn the required amount. This can be done through three months of bank statements, invoices, payslips, and even remote work contracts that state your salary.
