Update June 5, 2023: The official website for the Anguilla digital nomad visa no longer exists. We are waiting for confirmation if the visa is still available.
You can now work remotely from beautiful Caribbean beaches with the Anguilla digital nomad visa.
Introduced in 2020, when the world was pushed to work from home, Anguilla invited digital nomads and those who didnโt need to go into an office every day to come and live in their beautiful country. They also accept students who are attending online classes too!
Digital nomads can live in Anguilla for one year with this digital nomad visa.
With incredible wifi connection, comfortable residences to live in, and ideal weather for most of the year, itโs a no-brainer why anyone would want to apply for the Anguilla digital nomad visa.
Anguilla joins Bermuda and Barbados as being one of the islands near the USA to welcome digital nomads to come, live, and enjoy.
Plus, the application process is surprisingly easy! Youโll find out exactly how to apply for Aguillaโs digital nomad visa in this article and the eligibility requirements.
What is a Digital Nomad Visa?
A digital nomad visa allows remote workers to live in a foreign country for an extended period of time.
Typically, these visas allow digital nomads to live in the country for one year. Many of them do offer an option to renew for another year or two.
Itโs important to note that this visa does not allow you to participate in the local economy to earn money. All of your income must be sourced outside of the country where you hold your digital nomad visa.
Anguilla Digital Nomad Visa Requirements
As with every visa, there are certain requirements you must meet in order to be eligible to receive it. Below are the requirements for Anguillaโs digital nomad visa.
- Valid Passport – Your passport must be valid when applying for the visa
- Remote Job/University Enrollment – You must either have a remote job outside of Anguilla as either an employee, freelancer, or business owner, or you must be enrolled in a university outside of Anguilla
- Entry Visa (if applicable) – Some countries need a visa to enter Anguilla in addition to the digital nomad visa
- Health Insurance – You must have health insurance coverage in Anguilla for the duration of your visa
- Clean Criminal Record – You cannot have a history of criminal activity
There arenโt many requirements for the Anguilla digital nomad visa, making it one of the easiest to apply to.
Steps to Apply
The application process to obtain the Anguilla digital nomad visa is fairly simple. Itโs all done online, and youโll receive an answer in a short time.
Step 1: Gather Documents
Before you submit your applications, itโs important to gather all of the documents youโll need. Below is a list of the documents you must submit:
- Copy of Passport
- Proof of Remote Work
- Proof of University Enrollment (for students)
- Entry Visa (if applicable)
- Proof of Health Insurance
- Certified Criminal Background Check (not older than 6 months)

- Accommodation Booking
If you plan to bring a spouse or dependents, they will need to provide the following documents:
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Passport
- Proof of School Enrollment (for children)
- Letter of Intent Describing Their Work
Once you have all of these documents, make sure you scan and digitize them so you can submit them with your application.
Step 2: Submit Application
Once you have all of your documents, itโs time to fill out your application.
You can find the application through an online portal. You must make an account in order to apply.
Itโs important to note that there are application fees you must pay when submitting your application.
For individuals and students, the application fee is $2,000.
For families of four containing the applicant, spouse, and two children younger than 26, the application fee is $3,000. For each additional dependent, the fee is an extra $250.
